DIXON

Matt Dixon aka Gloop started out playing in Leeds' dingy Breakcore basement scene in the late 2000s under the pseudonym Fandabi Dozy. Laptop sets with cracked copies of everything, lots of crashing and untimely tech failures. When the drugs wore off, they formed the grunge punk band Slowcoaches, looking for other sonic adventures. After seven years of touring and playing gigs all over the UK and Europe, it was time to get back to writing electronic music.

After a few years harvesting synths, drum machines and samplers, it was a long-time dream fulfilled to be making analogue squelchy acid. Now with several releases under their belt on the label Beat Concern Realistic Dayze, Acid Concern, and the latest release Tapeworm on VUR — the Gloop sound has evolved into a blend of braindancy groaty classics to full-on squechly acid techno bangers. Expect a flawless live set to headbang to and feel the acid melt your insides into gloop.
